Itinerary
Upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, you will be greeted by our representative holding a welcome sign. After assistance with luggage, you will be transferred by private vehicle to your hotel in the city center. The drive takes approximately 45–60 minutes depending on traffic.
The rest of the day is free at leisure to rest or explore the surroundings at your own pace. Overnight stay in Hanoi.
Your guide will meet you at the hotel at 6:00 AM for an early departure to Ha Giang. The scenic drive takes you through ever-changing landscapes of mountains, rice fields, and rural villages.
En route, stop at the famous Ha Giang Lonely Tree and continue towards Quan Ba town. From the Quan Ba Heaven Gate, enjoy breathtaking views of a vast valley dotted with golden rice fields and the striking Twin Fairy Mountains. Take your time to admire the spectacular scenery before continuing your journey.
Arrive in Yen Minh Town by late afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay in Yen Minh.
After breakfast, depart Yen Minh and travel towards Dong Van along the spectacular Tham Ma Pass and the picturesque Chin Khoanh Pass. This region is part of the Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark, recognized by UNESCO for its unique limestone landscapes and cultural heritage.
Along the way, admire endless rice terraces, dramatic limestone mountains, and the daily life of ethnic minority villages. Before reaching Dong Van, stop to visit the historic H’Mong King’s Palace, the former residence of the Vuong family in Sa Phin, which offers fascinating insights into local history and architecture.
Arrive in Dong Van Town by late afternoon. After dinner, take a leisurely evening walk to explore the charming town and soak up the highland atmosphere. Overnight in Dong Van.
After breakfast, depart Dong Van and journey along the legendary Ma Pi Leng Pass, one of Vietnam’s most breathtaking mountain roads. Known as the “King of Passes,” Ma Pi Leng impresses with towering cliffs, deep valleys, and winding roads at an altitude of nearly 2,000 meters. The panoramic views here are often regarded as the most stunning in northern Vietnam.
Continue with a peaceful boat trip on the Nho Que River, where emerald waters flow between dramatic limestone mountains and lush green valleys—a true highlight of the journey.
Afterwards, travel through Meo Vac before making your way towards Cao Bang City. Arrive by late afternoon, check in to your hotel, and enjoy a relaxing evening after the scenic but long drive. Overnight in Cao Bang.
Get ready for an unforgettable day exploring some of northern Vietnam’s most remarkable natural wonders. Begin with a stop at Phuoc Sen Village, home to the Nung ethnic minority, where locals are renowned for their traditional blacksmithing and knife-making skills.
Continue to the awe-inspiring Ban Gioc Waterfall, one of the largest and most beautiful border waterfalls in the world, straddling Vietnam and China. Take a short boat ride to admire the cascading falls from a unique perspective, surrounded by dramatic karst landscapes.
Afterwards, discover the Nguom Ngao Cave, a spectacular underground wonder filled with striking stalagmites and stalactites shaped over millions of years.
In the late afternoon, drive towards Ba Be National Park, famous for its tranquil lake and lush scenery. Upon arrival, settle into a Tay ethnic homestay by Ba Be Lake, where you’ll experience warm hospitality and enjoy a peaceful evening in nature. Overnight in Ba Be.

Enjoy breakfast surrounded by the tranquil scenery of Ba Be National Park before embarking on a memorable 3-hour boat journey across the calm waters of Ba Be Lake. Glide past lush forests, dramatic limestone cliffs, and serene fishing villages that showcase the peaceful beauty of northern Vietnam.
Step ashore for a short walk through Cam Village, a charming riverside settlement, where you’ll have the chance to observe the daily life of the Tay ethnic people. Continue your journey along the Nang River to explore Puong Cave, an impressive limestone cavern adorned with stalactites, stalagmites, and home to a thriving bat colony.
After your lake adventure, bid farewell to Ba Be and transfer to Buoc Lom Wharf, where your driver awaits. From here, enjoy the return drive back to Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi or end of services, depending on your travel arrangements.
After breakfast, enjoy some free time at your leisure until your scheduled transfer. At the appointed time, our representative will meet you at your hotel to assist with luggage and ensure a smooth check-out.
You will then be transferred to Noi Bai International Airport for your onward flight. On the way, take in your final impressions of Hanoi’s lively streets and unique atmosphere.
