Arrive in Vietnam’s bustling Ho Chi Minh City, formerly Saigon,
Welcome to bustling Ho Chi Minh city – the vibrant commercial capital of Southern Vietnam! Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, you will be greeted by our driver and transferred to your hotel in the city center. After check-in, take the rest of the day to relax and recover from your flight, or enjoy a leisurely walk along the Han River and explore the lively local streets.

Afternoon: Visit Cho Lon, Thien Hau Pagoda, Saigon River water bus experience.
18:00 PM: Transfer back to your hotel or meeting point. Finish the trip.

Following breakfast, we’ll head to the Cu Chi Tunnels to learn about their significance during the Vietnam War. Afterward, have a light lunch on our way back to Ho Chi Minh City center.
In the afternoon, our exploration takes us to the Saigon Opera House, an iconic architectural gem that stands as a testament to the city’s cultural richness. Next, we arrive at the Notre Dame Cathedral, a symbol of the city’s enduring history. The cathedral’s neo-Romanesque architecture and iconic twin spires make it a captivating site.
NOTE: The Notre Dame Cathedral is under renovation until 2027.
Our next stop is the Old Post Office, a majestic colonial-era building that reflects the city’s past. With its grand architecture and historical relevance, the Old Post Office provides a glimpse into the bygone era of French influence in Vietnam.
After that, head to the renowned Ben Thanh Market. This bustling market is an ideal spot to pick up souvenirs for your loved ones, providing a lively atmosphere and a variety of local products to choose from.
07:30 – 08:00 Leaving the hustle and bustle of Ho Chi Minh City and starting your trip to depart for My Tho, the town lies on the left side of the Mekong River. Upon arrival, visit Vinh Trang pagoda which dates back to the late 19th century. Then boarding the sampan and cruising down the river around the four beautiful islands known as Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix and Tortoise islands.
Stop over at Unicorn Island, go walking around the country lane and see orchards, enjoy tropical fruits, folk song music which is performed by the local people. Visit the fruit plantation.
Ride a hand-rowed sampan through Thoi Son canal and treat yourself to the beauty of the countryside, visit the family business, visit honey-bee farm, enjoy honey tea and coconut candy workshop.
Have lunch at a local restaurant and break time to recharge your energy.
In the afternoon, time for cycling around the Tan Thach village, meet the local villagers to experience the local daily life in the Mekong delta. Hammock relaxing and enjoying cool breeze for those who can’t join the cycling trip.
17:30: Time flies so fast that we can’t recognize it’s time to go home. So, let’s take a short rest, and drive back to Ho Chi Minh City after a meaningful discovery day. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
As your adventure in Vietnam draws to a close, take some time to relax and reflect on your journey. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and perhaps some last-minute shopping before we pick you up for your private transfer to the airport. Whether you’re returning home or continuing on to your next destination, we hope you leave Vietnam with unforgettable memories and a newfound appreciation for this beautiful country.
